We are pleased to announce that our grade six students will be going to New York to attend the Montessori Model United Nations (MMUN) in February 2018.

Casa Montessori and Orff is a Montessori Elementary School in Winnipeg dedicated to providing an enriched and nurturing learning environment. Our school encourages and embraces opportunities to learn about the world we live in and how to effectively play a positive, meaningful role as global citizens.

Casa Montessori and Orff School has sent students to the MMUN in the past. These children had the wonderful opportunity to act as ambassadors, debate international issues, negotiate with supporters and adversaries, resolve conflicts, navigate the UN’s rules of procedure and prepare draft resolutions – all in the interest of solving global problems. We are very excited for our current students to have such an incredible opportunity.

We hope that you agree with Ambassador Lorenzo and his belief in the importance of the MMUN – “The next generation of leaders will come from this program. Soon they will be sitting here, and it will be their responsibility to complete what we have left undone.” We are asking for your support to help send our ‘next generation of leaders’ to the MMUN in February 2018. Level One: $250 – contributes to the cost of accommodations

Level Two: $500 – contributes to the cost of registration

Level Three: $1000 – contributes to the cost of travel
